A note from Mary X---, a college buddy, to Elaine Curtis
Dear Elaine,
I've been thinking about you a lot lately! And, no, that's not because finals are coming up, either. (Now that I think of it, though, it's too easy to imagine you telling me to study!)
The fact is, going to get some coffee and cake after class just isn't the same without you. But when you come back, I think you'll find not much has changed. Rodney is as dense as always, and Dom still says the rudest things! Not only that, but sometimes they try to ditch class and go to the gym instead. Can you believe those two? Makes you wonder why they even enrolled for college in the first place.
Anyway, keeping Rodney and Dom in line is a big reason why I haven't come to visit before now, so I'm really sorry about that. Hopefully I can come see you in person soon! Then we'll have lots to talk about, I'm sure.
